Sanford Middle School of Minneapolis Sells Bracelets for Afghanistan PDF Print E-mail

Sanford's Everyday Leaders are selling bracelets with the Afghan colors for $2.50 to raise money for Rapport Afghanistan. Help these young leaders feel what it's like to be significant in the world by purchasing their handmade bracelets. Send a message to the world and these young hopefuls, that we can make a difference in Afghanistan. We support our military. We hope for Peace and Prosperity for the good people of Afghanistan.

Rapport Afghanistan has begun it's fundraising campaign aimed at a goal of $200,000. The money will be used to ship up to 50,000 coats directly to military units in Afghanistan using 40 foot containers. The logistics are enormous considering the 40 foot containers must be shipped from Minnesota to Pakistan. They will then be loaded on trucks and transported over the Khyber Pass to Jalalabad, where Afghan customs will receive them as commercial freight. From that point they will be transported through the war zone to Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) where designated military units will be operating along the Afghan / Pakistan border.

We are asking for a mininum donation of $5.00 to Sponsor Peace in Afghanistan and help with these logistical expenses. We want this to be affordable so everyone has the opportunity to make a difference.

Contributions to you are deductible under section 170 of the Code. LTC Steve Boesen (White Shirt Left) COL Ben Corell (Camo Right) helping load coats for Rapport Afghanistan during Camp Dodge's dedication to the Iowa Gold Star Military Museum. Ironically, these two great warriors will be carrying these coats yet again once they are in Afghanistan later this year. This will be Steve's third and Ben's fourth deployment. Jon Sorensen helping load (Red, White and Blue Shirt) is a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a Patriot!
